Angela Holland is a published freelance designer and writer living and working in Nottingham, UK. She has a B.A. (Hons) degree in Surface Pattern Design and a master’s degree in Script and Children’s Writing.
Angela illustrates for children’s editorials and books. She also designs for greeting cards, gift wrap, jigsaw puzzles, calendars, magazine editorials, surface design, and textiles.
Her artwork is a mixture of traditional and digital media. She uses painted and printed textures, which are adapted digitally to create a collage of depth, texture, and fantasy. Her character artwork has been described as ‘quirky and fun,’ with keen attention to small details.
Angela’s jigsaw puzzle illustrations have been published by Ravensburger Puzzles, Trevell ‘La Box,’ as well as companies in Europe, America, and Canada. Her cards have been published by Woodmansterne and ICG Cards, and she has illustrated for Waterstones. Angela has illustrated and written for Ladybug, Cricket, Womankind Magazine, The World Health Organization, and her work has been featured in Uppercase Magazine. She has won awards for her illustration work from ‘The Press Show,’ Doodle Addicts, and Print Me Pretty.
Her children’s illustrations, editorials, and textile designs have been featured in Lilla Rogers’ ‘Make Art That Sells’ online course and have been highlighted as ‘Lilla’s Top Picks.’ She is a firm advocate of the Make Art That Sells courses.
